I've read one, two and this one but am getting a little tired of it. The action is pretty much nonstop and that is pretty good, except it gets to the point of being unbelievable. The characters are defined pretty well.I skipped the parachute part in this one because it was so out of place.
They have two space ships that can do a lot of damage yet they land them miles from where they are going to infiltrate or attack. I'd be using those puppies to wreak havoc and nix the hiking into enemy territory.
A big plus is NO ZOMBIES!!

I found myself desperately engrossed in the story and all of a sudden as I turned the page to read what was going to happen next the book ends leaving me in suspense and anxious to find out what happens next. I have the next book loaded into my kindle and will read more of the thrilling story of the wasteland chronicles and the thrilling encounters by the cast of characters Kylie has put together.
GOOD action and holds your attention. Very original story that keeps one looking forward to each episode. I have read the first three and will start on book four immediately. Have 4 and 5 to read yet but went ahead and purchased book 6 and 7. This is likely the highest rated series on kindle. I am leaning toward a five star rating overall. The story will gain in popularity.
This part of Mr. West's story is a refreshing change of scene from the Wastelands of Books #1 and #2. It also contains much more refreshing insight and introspection from Alex, the story's protagonist. Instead of rushing through an apocalyptic Wasteland, Alex and his friends sludge through the forest-filled realm of the Empire, built on the model of the old Roman Empire. We find the all-too-familiar themes of power, freedom, slavery, and imminent threat weaving their way through the adventures of Alex and his friends on a mission to save the world. These books keep getting better. Start following them!
I have given 5 stars for each book in this series and have gone into more detail in other reviews but the bottom line is I thoroughly enjoyed the whole series. So much so that I read the books back to back until the latest book! Love the book and I believe that if you enjoy a book, then you should give a review so lesser known authors can gain support and fans! I know I'm a fan and I am not even related nor do I know the writer personally! Lol
Great book, I really loved it!
Though I have enjoyed this series of books immensely, the mix of sci-fi and fantasy in this recent one is not one that I would have deliberately chosen. The story line is an excellent one to have introduced me to a variation of sci-fi I did not anticipate. The introduction of different characters bolsters the flow of the story line. I look forward to savoring the remainder of the installments. I am putting off the next one because I will hate to see it end. That to me defines a good book.
As in all of the Wasteland Chronicles, Kyle West does a masterful job of keeping the reader's glued to the pages. If I could find a complaint, it's that the books are too short, and then you have to wait for the next book in the series. In Evolution, you find the survivors searching in what was Mexico for Emperor Augustus' assistance in fighting the blight and instead find themselves captured and taken into slavery, then fighting for their lives in the Coliseum. They find the Emperor is interested in saving and advancing no one except himself. These books are great! Highly recommend!
So don't get me wrong the book was Amazing as the others! I just felt like there was to much filler! Could have gone without some of the mere descriptions! However it's still a page turner and the plot thickens! I need to read the next two books but I'm going to have to wait just a little becuase I already spent to much money on books this month! With the series 2.99 a book it is defenitly going to bankrupt me lol doesn't mean I will stop thinking about it! The story is invading my dreams when I sleep! Not kidding the last 2 nights I dreamt I was in the Wasteland running for my life!
